Bill’s Barbecue was one of those places, the kind of Richmond landmark you didn’t think much about while it was there because it felt like it always would be. The big roadside sign, the barbecue, and especially those cold, tart limeades were simply part of the landscape.
The restaurant may be gone, but for anyone who remembers that first sip of a Bill’s Barbecue limeade, this place is still very much alive.
